Orlando Pirates FC get their Spanish pre-season tour underway with a tricky fixture against Spanish Segunda Division side Cordoba FC in Marbella on Wednesday evening.
The Marbella Football Center has basically become a second home for the Sea Robbers. This is their fourth consecutive year preparing for the new season at this exact venue.
Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 South African time, and fans back home won’t miss a second of the action.

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that the match will be broadcasted live on their YouTube channel. You can also catch the action live on SuperSport Variety 4.
Supporters will also get a first look at some of the club’s brand-new signings. New boys Ghampani Lungu, Neo Rapoo, and Mthetheleli Mthiyane are all in line to feature, the club themselves confirmed.
There is also space for some of the club’s brightest young academy talents. Cristian Derbyshire, Simphiwe Masilela, and Mpho Padime have all joined the first-team squad in Spain. These young stars earned this trip after helping the reserves lift the DStv Diski Challenge title last season.
Following Relebohile Mofokeng’s departure, Abdeslam Ouaddou will be keen to see which youngster is ready to step up to the plate for Orlando Pirates and fill the massive void.
The Buccaneers are scheduled to play four more friendly matches over the next 10 days. They’ll face Spanish side Cadiz FC, Saudi giants Al Ittihad, Spanish side Las Palmas and Saudi top-flight side Neom FC.
Orlando Pirates will officially begin their Betway Premiership title defense on 01 August 2026 when they host newcomers Milford FC at the Orlando Stadium.
