Cape Verde 0-0 Saudi Arabia
Cape Verde’s remarkable World Cup story continued as a third consecutive draw, this time against Saudi Arabia, secured second place in Group H and a last-32 meeting with Lionel Messi’s Argentina in Miami.
The archipelago nation of just over 500,000 people becomes the third-smallest country by population ever to reach the World Cup knockout rounds, having already held both Spain and Uruguay during the group stage.

France 4-1 Norway
Ousmane Dembele scored a first-half hat-trick as France swept aside Norway 4-1 to maintain their perfect start to the tournament and clinch top spot in Group I.
Erling Haaland was left on the bench by Norway, denying fans the anticipated duel with Kylian Mbappe, while Desire Doue added a fourth in stoppage time. France will face Sweden in the last 32.
Senegal 5-0 Iraq
Senegal boosted their goal difference with a 5-0 demolition of Iraq, picking up their first points of the tournament but leaving their qualification hopes in the hands of other results elsewhere in the group.
Belgium 5-1 New Zealand
Belgium defeated New Zealand 5-1 to book their place in the knockout rounds of the World Cup on Friday, securing their first win of the tournament to finish on top of Group G in Vancouver.

Egypt 1-1 Iran
Egypt claimed the runners-up spot in Group G after a 1-1 draw with Iran in Seattle. The Iranians finished third in the group.
