In a Euro 2008 final rematch, UEFA Euro 2024 hosts Germany will take on Spain in the quarter-finals for a spot in the last four after defeating Denmark 2-0 in the round of 16.

Following a string of disappointing results at major tournaments in recent years, including elimination from the last two World Cups in the group stages, Germany may be confident of defeating an in-form Spanish side led by youngster Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams, who have been influential for La Roja at Euro 2024.
Germany began their Euro 2024 campaign with a bang, defeating Scotland 5-1 in their Group A opener. Their journey to Stuttgart was distinguished by winning two games and drawing with Switzerland in Group A before defeating Denmark 2-0 in the round of 16.
