Watch: Pep aims dig at Liverpool

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a dig at title rivals Liverpool, saying the Reds have an incredible history in European competitions but not in the Premier League where “they have won one in 30 years”.

The two title rivals suffered contrasting fortunes this week.

First, in their midweek Champions League semi-final clashes, Liverpool managed to progress to the final with a comfortable win over Villarreal, while the Citizens suffered a late damaging comeback by Real Madrid as they yet again failed in Europe.

However, on the weekend things turned around as Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham Hotspur as Man City went on to thrash Newcastle United 5-0 to go three points clear at the top of the table.
