Mamelodi Sundowns extended their winning run to 10 matches with a 1-0 victory over Durban City in the Betway Premiership at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday.
The result keeps Sundowns at the top of the table, maintaining a narrow lead over Orlando Pirates, who beat Golden Arrows 5-0 on the night.
Sundowns made several changes to their starting line-up but controlled possession from the opening stages, pinning Durban City deep in their own half.
The breakthrough came in the 10th minute. Tsiki Ntsabeleng finished from close range after a delivery from Aubrey Modiba, scoring his first goal for the club.

The visitors continued to create chances after taking the lead. Arthur Sales struck the post from close range after another Modiba delivery, while Brayan Leon also hit the woodwork early in the second half.
Durban City showed more intent after the break but struggled to create clear chances against a structured Sundowns defence. Their best opportunity came midway through the second half, but Sundowns remained organised at the back.

At the other end, Sundowns continued to threaten on transition and from wide areas. Leon was denied from close range by a crucial defensive block as the visitors looked to extend their advantage.
Despite late pressure from Durban City, Sundowns managed the closing stages effectively and saw out the result.
The win strengthens Sundowns’ position at the top of the table and extends their strong run of form, while Durban City remain in the race for a top-eight finish despite the defeat.
