Adidas and SAFA have revealed South Africa’s new away kit for the 2026 World Cup, combining heritage colours with a refined, modern look.
The release comes ahead of South Africa’s tournament opener against hosts Mexico on 11 June, marking a return to the global stage in a fixture that echoes the 2010 World Cup curtain-raiser.
The new kit continues the country’s traditional green and gold colour palette, presenting it in a more refined design. A structured collar with white and gold trim adds a clean finish, while the overall look reflects a balance between heritage and modern football identity.

Symbolism remains central to the design. The green base represents growth and resilience, while the white and gold detailing reflects ambition and the country’s presence on the global stage.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will wear the same design, underlining a shared identity across Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana.
SAFA CEO Lydia Monyepao said the jersey honours past generations while reflecting the progress of South African football.
“This design speaks to our history and the evolution of the game,” she said.
From a technical perspective, the jersey incorporates adidas’ latest performance features, including lightweight materials and breathable construction designed for high-level competition.
