Liverpool’s 2025–26 campaign has underlined the limits of financial investment without complete structural alignment. The reigning Premier League champions committed in excess of €480 million to new signings during the summer transfer window, signalling an aggressive rebuild following Jürgen Klopp’s departure.
However, results on the pitch have not matched the scale of that spending, with performances under new head coach Arne Slot remaining uneven.
