Semenyo nears Man City switch, deal enters final stage

Antoine Semenyo is expected to complete a move to Manchester City after being scheduled for a medical, with the Ghana international identified as a rotational attacking option ahead of the second half of the season.

Manchester City are close to finalising the signing of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, with the Ghana international set to undergo a medical as the January transfer window approaches its decisive phase.

The 25-year-old is expected to make his final appearance for Bournemouth against Tottenham Hotspur before completing the remaining formalities of his move to the Etihad Stadium. Contractual documentation has already been agreed, allowing City to proceed once the medical assessment is completed.

Semenyo has been targeted as a functional addition rather than a transformational signing, fitting Pep Guardiola’s preference for squad depth that enhances tactical flexibility.

City view the winger as a rotational option across the front line, capable of operating on either flank and providing a more direct profile alongside established attackers.
