Doku named Premier League Player of the Week

Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has been voted the Premier League’s Player of the Week for Matchweek 11 following his impressive performance in the 3-0 win over Liverpool.

The Belgian international played a central role in the win, scoring a solo goal to cap off a brilliant attacking performance that highlighted his growing influence under Pep Guardiola.

Doku became the second City player to receive the honour this season, following Erling Haaland’s recognition in Matchweek 6.

Throughout the contest at the Etihad Stadium, Doku proved a persistent threat to Liverpool’s defence, ranking first across multiple key categories, including shots on target and chances created (both three), duels won and touches in the opposition box (both 11), successful take-ons (seven), fouls won (four) and possession recoveries (five).

The winger also became the first Premier league player to reach 100 successful dribbles this season.

His display reflected not only his technical ability and pace but also his increasing tactical maturity within Guardiola’s fluid attacking setup.
