The Athletic reports that Tottenham Hotspur have approached Manchester City over a potential move for winger Savinho. Talks between the clubs have taken place, with a package worth around €50million (£43.3m, $58.2m) discussed.
City have made it clear they do not wish to sell and consider the matter closed, insisting it would take significantly more to tempt them. However, other sources believe Spurs’ interest remains active.
The 21-year-old Brazil international is open to the idea of a move, and Pep Guardiola has previously allowed players to leave if they wanted a fresh challenge. Savinho joined City from Girona last summer on a contract running until June 2028, scoring three goals in 48 appearances last season.
He began his career at Atlético Mineiro before moving to Troyes, part of the City Football Group (CFG). Loan spells followed at PSV Eindhoven and Girona, where his 11 goals in 2023-24 helped secure a first-ever Champions League qualification.

Tottenham’s interest comes soon after Son Heung-min’s departure to LAFC. Despite having wide options such as Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson and Mohammed Kudus, Spurs are short of creativity following James Maddison’s ACL injury and Dejan Kulusevski’s knee surgery.
Savinho’s versatility is attractive to head coach Thomas Frank. While mainly used on the left during his Girona loan, contributing nine goals and 10 assists, he has also switched flanks under Guardiola. Spurs could deploy him on the right, allowing Kudus to operate centrally as a No 10.
The Brazilian’s pace and dribbling would add variety to Tottenham’s attack, but questions remain over whether he offers the immediate impact the club needs. In the Premier League last season, Savinho scored only once in 29 appearances.
