The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has revealed the nominees for the 2024/25 PSL Awards, with the ceremony set for Tuesday, 29 July at 19h00.
The PSL announced nominees for the 24/25 Awards across categories like PSL Footballer of the Season
Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, Betway Premiership Coach of the Season, Betway Premiership Goal of the Season and more.
Sekhukhune United’s Keletso Makgalwa, Orlando Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng, and Mamelodi Sundowns’ Lucas Ribeiro Costa are in the running for the prestigious Footballer of the Season award. The same trio are also shortlisted for the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, reflecting their standout campaigns.

The Betway Premiership Coach of the Season will be contested by Stellenbosch FC’s Steve Barker, Sundowns’ Miguel Cardoso, and Pirates’ Jose Riveiro.
Mofokeng is also a nominee for the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season, alongside teammates Mohau Nkota and Sundowns’ Malibongwe Khoza.
In the Motsepe Foundation Championship, new award categories debut this year. Banele Hlophe (JDR Stars), Joslin Kamatuka (Durban City FC), and Muzomuhle Khanyi (Hungry Lions) are shortlisted for Players’ Player of the Season.
The Young Player of the Season nominees are Luke Baartman (Cape Town Spurs), Teboho Lekhatla (Casric Stars), and Siphamandla Mhlongo (Milford FC). Goalkeeper of the Season will be contested by Emile Lako (Casric Stars), Sekhoane Moerane (Orbit College), and Dumsani Msibi (Durban City FC).

Kaizer Chiefs dominate the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament category with Inacio Miguel, Pule Mmodi and Gaston Sirino all nominated. In the Most Promising Player category, Orlando Pirates once again lead with Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Mofokeng and Nkota all making the cut.
