The organizers of the Ballon d’Or confirmed on Thursday that the nominees for the prestigious 2025 award will be unveiled on August 7.
A teaser poster was released to mark the announcement date, building anticipation for football’s most coveted individual honor.
The award, presented annually by France Football, honors the world’s best male footballer. A 30-player shortlist is compiled before voting determines the ultimate winner.
Past recipients include some of the greatest names in football history, with Lionel Messi holding the record for most wins (8).
