Despite suffering a loss to Egypt’s Pyramids FC in the CAF Champions League final over the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns are now setting their sights on their upcoming FIFA Club World Cup campaign.
In the first-leg of the Champions League final, Sundowns took an early second-half lead through Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro only for the Pretoria based side to concede with just 37 seconds remaining, heading to the second-leg with all to play for.
The return leg in Egypt saw Pyramids triumph 3-2 on aggregate after the first leg was drawn 1-1 in Pretoria.

The Betway Premiership Champions turn their attention to the Club World Cup after a narrow Champions League exit, as they come up against a Group stage of clubs, four-time Brazilian champions Fluminense, two-time AFC Champions League victors Ulsan HD, and Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in Group F.
